Dear Harriet: My friends and I all have children of the same age. So many of their experiences are similar.

I’ve noticed that whenever one of the kids isn’t doing well, a parent is quick to tell us what her “perfect” son did that we can emulate. It’s nauseating.

Before this guy joined the conversation (we share a group text), we all felt pretty comfortable sharing our concerns and situations. No one was judging or bragging about their children. We were really helping each other through hard times.

This guy and his ego are ruining our friend group. How can we get our core group back?

Take it out
