Holly Willoughby and Philip Scofield return to This Morning on Monday after their festive break after storming the BBC’s ratings on Christmas Day.

The pre-recorded episodes broadcast between 10am and noon by the presenting duo attracted 1.3 million viewers, breaking the 880,000 viewers the BBC achieved during the same time.

BBC One featured the Christmas Morning Service and Songs of Praise, while Holly and Philippa had many special guests including Sir Cliff Richard, The Muppets, Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

The news comes after Holly’s fans were left in shock as she braced her newborn son for a haircut in a nail-biting video she shared on Instagram on Sunday.

The TV personality smiled alongside her co-host Phillip Scofield as they posed for promotional pictures in their dazzling ensembles.

Holly admitted that she is a ‘huge fan of Love Island’ and added that she thinks Akin-su will look ‘like an angel on ice’.
