It’s already getting dirty. Kim Zolchak-Biermann And Croy Biermann shocked Bravo fans and stars with their breakup in May 2023.
Us weekly confirmed at the time that the former NFL player had filed for divorce after over a decade of marriage. In 2011, the now separated couple got married.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and Biermann added son Croy “KJ” Jr. in 2011, son Kash in 2012, and twins Kaya and Kane to their family in 2013. (The former athlete, for his part, also adopted two Zolczak-Biermann daughters from a previous relationship: Ariana.)
Documenting your home life for Don’t be late — which was canceled in 2021 after eight seasons — Zolchak-Biermann said the reality show won’t affect her personal life. “(Divorce) is not an option in my home,” she said. Fox News in October 2017. “I would never let the show affect my marriage in any way. My marriage is definitely the first.”
The “Tardy for the Party” singer at the time claimed that other housewives were going through divorce because of the “TV hype and publicity” that comes when they’re in the spotlight. She added that it’s “easier to get divorced” than to work on a relationship.
Before their divorce hit the headlines, Us in February 2023, it was confirmed that the couple’s mansion was under arrest. According to documents received Ustheir Manor Golf & Country Club property in Alpharetta, Georgia was to be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
However, TV presenters denied the rumors about their assets. “Okay guys, my house didn’t sell for $257,000,” Zolczak-Biermann previously stated in an Instagram story in November 2022 while showing off the house. “If you guys think that I would rent my house, which we invested millions and millions of dollars in, for $257,000, then you are an idiot, okay. Seriously.”
The auction was later canceled by Brock & Scott, PLLC. According to Biermann’s divorce filing, the couple continued to live together after the breakup.
“The minor children of Plaintiff and Defendant are currently living with Plaintiff,” his May 2023 filing says. “Plaintiff shows that he should be granted exclusive, temporary and permanent use and possession of the family residence… Plaintiff shows that defendant should be restricted and prohibited from entering the family residence after she leaves.”
Following shocking breakup news, Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen showed how Zolchak-Birmann coped.
“(I) expressed my condolences because it is sad. They have kids and it was just a couple who seemed very much in love,” he said on Andy Cohen Live on SiriusXM in May 2023. “I was very surprised. This was not the kind of news I had ever expected to receive. They were a couple, I thought they were in it for the long haul. (I was) very surprised (and I’m) sorry to hear that.”
