I’m setting the record straight. Kyle Richards responded to concerns about her weight loss after fans questioned a recent photo showing the reality TV star’s ribs sticking out.
“The photo they link to didn’t suit me because of the dress I was wearing,” Richards, 54, wrote in the comments section. Page six post on instagram on Thursday, May 4, referring to a recently deleted snapshot uploaded by Dorit Kemsley belonging The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast in Spain.

Contributed by Kyle Richards/InstagramThe photo in question, which showed Richards wearing a long black cutout dress, caused concern when Bravo viewers pointed out the TV host’s exposed chest in the May snap. “Kyle needs intervention,” one social media user wrote in response to Kemsley’s Instagram post, before another fan claimed they were “concerned” about the California native.
Richards’ weight loss was previously in question when she debuted her lean figure earlier this year. After publicizing her weight loss with a bikini selfie in January, Richards opened up about how her decision to cut down on her drinking has affected her life.
“The truth is, I don’t miss it at all,” she wrote on her Instagram story in February while responding to private messages from fans. “I feel amazing so I don’t see the point right now.”
Richards also broke her training regimen by writing, “Love my peloton! I use it about 3 times a week and I used to do strength training but won’t do it again. I love hand and interval lessons when I’m short on time.”
That same month, the former child star denied rumors that she was using Ozempic to help shed weight. (The FDA-approved drug is commonly used to help people with type 2 diabetes control their weight.)
“I can’t stand it when people say this because people who know me know that I get up every day at 5:30 in the morning, at the latest at 6 in the morning… I’ve been at the gym for two hours,” she said. ExtraTV. “I’ve really put a lot of effort into diet, exercise and self-care, so when people like to think I took the easy way out, it’s frustrating.”
Richards added: “Sometimes I turn my cheek the other way and ignore it, but I work really hard and it really worries me and I would like to be an inspiration to people. So don’t think that I took the easy way. For example, follow what I do and you will see the changes.”
