While the American Dental Association recommends brushing your teeth for at least two minutes each time, data shows most people brush by a quick 45 seconds.

A French company has developed a toothbrush for people who don’t follow expert advice – and it claims to clean teeth in 10 seconds.

The Y-Brush is a mouthguard-shaped device with 35,000 nylon bristles that vibrate on the teeth as users chew a silicone tray and move it around inside their mouth.

The device was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, but can also be purchased on Amazon for $89.99.

The Y-Brush is a toothbrush that looks like a mouthguard. The company claims that it uses supersonic vibrations to clean teeth in 10 seconds.

On Tuesday night, the show kicked off with media previews from some of the 3,000 companies that have signed up to participate. CES officially opens on Thursday.

The Y-Brush doesn’t claim to be more effective than leading toothbrushes, but touts itself as a way to brush in a hurry.

Users place the device in their mouth, activate it and let the thousands of bristles do the work.

Once done with one set of teeth, the same process is repeated with the other half.

And while the company says it only takes 10 seconds, it can take up to 30 seconds to brush an entire mouthful of teeth—it takes 10 seconds to clean one set at a time.

While this toothbrush may sound bizarre, another gadget showcased at CES may take the cake.

A company has launched a smart device that sits on the toilet to monitor your metabolic and reproductive health while you pee.

Withings, known for its smartwatches, has come up with its latest product dubbed the U-Scan.

It’s described as a ‘miniature health lab that sits hygienically inside any toilet bowl,’ sending results to an app on your phone.

The device consists of two parts – a reader and a replaceable cartridge containing a thermal sensor to differentiate between urine and toilet water.
