Possible Engagement Is ‘F—king Scary’

The fear is real. Paige DeSorbo burst into tears talking about her future with Craig Conover after the two didn’t see eye to eye on the engagement date.

“I want to talk to you about us,” Craig, 34, told his girlfriend, Paige, 30, on the Monday, April 10 episode of Country housejokingly, “Will you marry me?”

southern charm The star was initially flippant about the situation, but told Page that he had some concerns about their future schedule. (The couple became Instagram officials in late 2021 after starting an affair this summer.)

“We (previously) discussed (that) when we settled down, it would be in Charleston. How the hell are we going to get there?” Craig asked his partner while in Kyle CookX 40th 40th Anniversary Partyfilmed in August 2022. “We never talked about middle chapters.”

Paige explained that while she “always thought” she would be engaged by the age of 30, things have changed. “Now that I’m turning 30, I don’t want that,” the New York native said. “Like we would have been dating a year before you proposed.

Craig was taken aback by his girlfriend’s statement, confessing, “I’m happy now. I’m happy to do it next year, but when are you moving to Charleston?”

The Giggly Squad podcast co-host explained that she felt like “proposing and living together go hand in hand” and she’s not ready to uproot her life just yet.

“If you proposed to me tomorrow, that would be amazing. But then he would immediately start the clock “When are you going down?”. When are you planning your wedding? If you were to propose right now in that damn hole with a piece of hay, I would say yes,” Paige said. “But it’s a lot. I would change my whole life. I will change much more than you. I will change my whole life.”

The fashion columnist wept, adding, “I have no friends in Charleston. My family is (located) in New York. I don’t want to leave my mother.”

Craig quickly intervened, telling his partner, “Baby, everything will be fine. Maybe I’ll come to New York. If it was for you, I would do it.”

Paige insisted she was “ready to settle down” but noted that “the thought of moving is daunting.” To lighten the mood, Craig replied, “After all, I love Charleston, but not more than I love you. I know you love New York more than me.”

While the two seemed to be on the same wavelength, an Amazon Live correspondent later told the buddy Amanda Batula that she was still hesitant to move south. “The thought of getting engaged, getting married and becoming someone’s wife is scary as hell,” Paige admitted. “Why doesn’t anyone say it’s terrible?”

Country house the star spoke exclusively Us weekly in October 2022, she and Craig took the next step in their relationship.

“I gave him a room and a closet,” Paige said at the time. “That was my version of the engagement. The founder of Sewing Down South joked: Us“Well, I mean, her definition of engagement is very confusing to me. People keep asking me when (I) am going to (offer), and I’m like, “When it’s ready.” (But) we’ve been dating for a little over a year.”

Earlier this month, Craig confirmed that he and Paige are still going strong after rumors arose in late 2022 that they were broke. “We don’t post much together, but she’s always by my side,” the Delaware native wrote on his Instagram story in April, along with a snap of his girlfriend.
