Prince Harry has emotionally recalled repeatedly driving through the Paris tunnel where Princess Diana died at exactly the same speed in his explosive biography.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, opened up about how he coped with his mother’s death in his new book, Spare, which was accidentally published in Spain today.

In 2007, the now father of two – who was 23 at the time – was in the French capital for the Rugby World Cup.

While driving around the city, Prince Harry recalled how he asked to be taken through the Alma Underpass, where Princess Diana died on 31 August 1997.

He also requested that they drive through the tunnel at 65 mph – the same speed that Princess Diana’s chauffeur was driving when the tragic accident occurred.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, further wrote in a quote ahead of the release of his memoir Spare, that he asked to be driven through the Alma underpass where Princess Diana died on August 31, 1997. had died. , was traveling at the same speed as his car at the time of the accident which caused his death. Harry said the driver was shocked when she asked him if he knew his mother had died in the tunnel, and asked him to drive through it.

The royal revealed she barely felt anything when she entered the tunnel, which read: ‘The bump that reportedly toppled mummy’s Mercedes.’

He described how he counted the lights and poles inside the tunnel as his car speeded through, but when he came out he was shocked at how short the tunnel actually was.

He wrote, ‘I had always imagined the tunnel as some treacherous passage, inherently dangerous, but it was just a short, simple, no-frills tunnel.’

He recalls a conversation between himself and William.

She said: ‘I rang Willie and told him about last night. He was not surprised by what happened. Apparently, he had also crossed the tunnel.

‘I was going to Paris for the rugby final, so we decided to do it together again.

‘Later, we talked about the accident for the first time. recent investigation. We both agreed that there was much more to uncover. The final report was a disgrace. A sham full of basic factual errors where the absence of logic was evident. It raised more questions than it answered.

How was this possible, we thought, after so many years, the money that was invested…?’

Shahi said he told his bodyguard and driver that there was no reason for anyone to die in the Alma tunnel.

He then reveals that he asked the driver to drive him through the tunnel a total of three times.

He writes that he came to the conclusion that the report’s conclusion that Diana’s driver was drunk was ‘absurd’ and ‘simplistic’.

He said: ‘Even if the man had been drinking, even if he was drunk as a skunk, he would have had no problem driving through that short tunnel. Unless the paparazzi follow them and the glare… why weren’t they in jail?’

Harry wrote that he thought the experience would bring him ‘the closure he wanted’ but sadly it had the opposite effect.

He said that going through the tunnel put an end to his questions and doubts about his mother’s death, and made him realize that she was gone for good.

Afterwards, he got drunk and wandered around central Paris.

In the book, he tells that he got so drunk that he became violent with his bodyguards.

He said: ‘I saw the Champs Elysees in the distance. I was standing near a giant Ferris wheel. I passed by little bookshops, people drinking coffee and eating croissants. I smoked, my eyes asked for it. I remember someone recognizing me and staring at me, but luckily that was before the era of smartphones. No one stopped to take my picture.

After their conversation the brothers wanted to take further action to find out the truth behind Diana’s death.

He wrote: ‘We agreed on all those questions and also on what we should do next. We will issue a communique, we will jointly ask for resumption of the investigation.

‘We can call a press conference. We were denied by the decision makers.

In the book, Harry also describes coming into contact with a woman ‘with powers’ without using the words ‘psychic medium’ to talk to his mother. The woman allegedly broadcast a message from Diana saying she was living the life ‘she couldn’t, the life she wanted for him.’

He didn’t specify where or exactly when the meeting took place, however, he put it after the birth of their son Archie, who was born in May 2019.

He wrote that friends had recommended the woman, and even though he was skeptical of her abilities, he went to meet her.

He said he felt the woman’s aura and told him he could feel a presence around him, and that he believed his mother was with him in spirit.

Shahi admitted that her eyes welled up when she heard that her mother was in the room as they were speaking.

The woman reportedly said that Rajkumar was living the life his mother wanted for him. He asked the woman for proof that his mother’s spirit was indeed present.

The Duke of Sussex claimed the woman mentioned an ‘ornament’ she thought was a Christmas tree ornament in the shape of Elizabeth II that her son Archie had broken and tried to fix.

The woman told Harry that Diana was there when it happened and laughed at her grandson’s antics.

Elsewhere in the biography, Prince Harry said he ‘begged Prince Charles not to marry Camilla’ and feared she would one day be his ‘wicked stepmother’.

The Duke of Sussex alleges he and his brother will not stand in the way of the then Prince of Wales’ relationship, but has told Camilla not to walk him down the aisle a second time, calling him ‘another woman’.

The book claims Charles tried to ‘win over children’ before asking the public to accept Camilla. Harry claims meeting her for the first time was like an ‘injection’, adding: ‘Close your eyes and you won’t even feel it.’

The Duke said: ‘I remember wondering … if she would be cruel to me; If only she were like all the wicked stepmothers in the stories’. He said: ‘Willie had long been suspicious of another woman, who confused and tormented him; When those suspicions were confirmed, he felt agonizing remorse for not doing or doing anything earlier.
