Prince Harry has claimed that his brother William grabbed his wife Meghan Markle by his collar and threw him on the floor during a heated argument.

In an extraordinary piece from his forthcoming autobiography Spare, Harry recalls what he describes as a physical assault by his brother, now the Prince of Wales, which he claims left him with visible injuries .

It was then that William asked his brother to hit him back, a reference to the scrap they had as children, Harry writes.

The Duke said he refused to retaliate and William left before returning ‘seeing remorse’ and apologizing.

When the future king left for the last time, claimed Harry ‘ Turned and called back: ‘You don’t need to tell Meg about this.’

Harry says she replied: ‘You mean you attacked me?’

He says that William continued: ‘I didn’t attack you, Harold.’
