Unless you live under a rock – or don’t have an Instagram account – you’re probably familiar with the cult favorite Stanley. Travel tumblers Adventure Quencher. Chosen by countless influencers, the Adventure Quencher Cup was launched in 2016 by Stanley, a 109 year old brand known for its camping gear and outdoor accessories.
Despite the unlikely duo, Stanley and the content creators are now a recipe for success that other brands are desperately trying to emulate: Today, a cup sells out within minutes of literally every restocking thanks to influencers urging their many followers to buy it in a second. it becomes available. Since its inception, Adventure Quencher has not only amassed a waiting list of over 150,000 people, but also #stanleytumbler has over 25 million views on TikTok.
One of the first Adventure Quencher users, I’m here to say that all the hype is actually worth it. As a product tester, I receive a variety of products, from leggings and sports bras to toasters and water bottles. A couple of years ago, amid the sea of junk on my dinner table, the Stanley cup not only stood out and piqued my interest, but quickly became my daily staple.
Currently in stock on Amazon in multiple colors, the Adventure Quencher is also in the news because it just received a new and improved sister cup, dubbed Quencher H2.0 Flowstate glasswhich has just been launched today in a new soft matte surface. Given my love of the original, I had to try the latest version of Stanley and (spoiler alert) it’s really good. That’s why.
It’s hard to improve on such a good thing, but Stanley did it with Extinguisher H2.0 Flow status at the same time managed to keep the price exactly the same (from 20 to 45 dollars). Slightly adapted, small changes make a big difference.
What makes a cup so great? Well, first of all, it’s huge. Sure, it comes in 14, 20, and 30 oz sizes, but anyone familiar with Stanley’s Secret knows that the 40 oz size, which has a secure built-in handle, is the way to go.
And this enormity also contributes to the fact that I am very dehydrated. I’m a very thirsty person anyway, but the huge size of the Adventure Quencher means less time refilling and more time drinking. If I top it up just twice a day, I’m close to getting into the US National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. recommended intake is 92 ounces per day. The cup’s double insulation also keeps drinks hot for seven hours and frozen for two full days – seriously, it’s true, ice cubes stay intact for up to 48 hours.
Another detail I love is that, despite its size, the Adventure Quencher has a tapered thin base that fits in my car cup holder. That’s a lot for me (and all the suburban moms who adore it) because I spend a dozen hours in the car every week, driving my kids, and having everything you need (including water) is a must. What else to know: If you’re not a straw fan, don’t worry – the cup has a rotating lid that allows you to take three positions: a straw, a sip spout, or a fully closed lid (more on that below).
And there is the hype factor. It’s a simple equation when you think about it. Everybody wants Adventure Quencher And it’s really hard to get. Strangers often come up to me when I’m running errands or sitting on the side of a football field to ask a) is the glass as good as they say it is, and b) how did I get it. The bottom line is that people notice this cup, they want to talk about it and subsequently want the same one too. All the pretty colorways, from neutral creams to bubblegum pinks, also make the cups perfect for the gram. Oh, and it would be remiss not to mention that at the end of the day it can be put on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. (Though, to be honest, I keep my bedside table for drinking in the middle of the night!)

The handle I mentioned earlier, for example, is a key part of the original Adventure Quencher’s success – it’s ergonomic and makes it easy to carry a large cup – and the Quencher H2.0 has a new two-tone “comfort grip” that levels the handle. Is this a necessary item? No. Do I love it? Absolutely. Not only does it look great, but it also looks luxurious and helps me hold the handle better. Oh, and the 30oz Quencher H2.0 size comes with a handle, while the 30oz Adventure Quencher doesn’t.
The Quencher H2.0 straw has also been upgraded with a new silicone seal that wraps around the base of the straw and prevents spillage. Full disclosure: If you knock over your Adventure Quencher, water will spill onto the floor. This new “splash-proof” piece isn’t completely waterproof, but it definitely slows down spillage to drips, which is about as good as using a straw tumbler cup.
And while this detail is invisible to the eye, I am a big supporter Stanley’s Commitment to Sustainabilitywhich is front and center of the Quencher H2.0 – the bowl is made from 90% recycled stainless steel.
What we didn’t like about Adventure Quencher and Quencher H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler
When it comes to this cup, there’s nothing to be mad about. If I had to pick one, I would take note of the fact that none of the Quencher cups are waterproof, making them unsuitable for long-distance travel. For example, you can’t toss a cup into your bag like a sealed water bottle. Traveling this summer, I was without my beloved Adventure Quencher and ended up drinking way less water. It’s not often you have a cup every day while you’re out of town, but that’s where I was.
I have tried many cups and water bottles over the years and Quenchers are by far my favorite, even when compared to non-spillable bottles, mainly because the straw construction of the Stanley cups makes it very easy to drink on the go while the water bottle needs to be unscrewed. cap or lift the spout – sure, it only takes a second, but it adds a preliminary step to every sip I take.
Compared to other straw cups, Stanley glasses definitely win in the quality and design categories. Reduce 40 oz Stainless Steel Straw Glass Mug Cold1 is a fan favorite at Target, has a nifty straw lid and a cheaper $25 price tag, but doesn’t fit in standard coasters, and while promising to keep water cold for 34 hours, I found the ice melted. In a few hours.
I’m a big fan of coolers, chairs, and other Yetis, but Stackable 25 oz Rambler glass also inferior to extinguishers due to the lack of a handle, which makes it cumbersome and stressful when my hands are full! — and a bare lid containing only a straw. You can’t go wrong with Stanley Adventure Quencher travel glass or newer Glass Stanley Quencher H2.0 Flowstatebut if I had to choose, I would go for the new and improved Quencher H2.0 Flowstate. The sealed straw spout and silicone-lined handle blew me away, and the recycled nature of the cup makes it an enjoyable choice and doesn’t harm the planet.
